Car tire change — one wheel

One wheel off the car, tire replaced, dynamically balanced and torqued back on to the manufacturer figure.

Included

• Rim inspected for kerb damage, cracks and bead corrosion
• New valve stem, or TPMS sensor checked, re-sealed and re-registered
• Dynamic balance
• Torqued in the correct sequence and re-checked
• Old tire disposed of

One word of warning

On an all-wheel-drive car, replacing one tire when the other three are worn puts a permanent speed difference through the centre differential. On some platforms that is an expensive mistake. We will measure the others and tell you honestly whether one is enough.
