Servicing to the manufacturer schedule, with a stamped book if yours is still under warranty and needs one.

Routine service

• Oil and filter, correct grade for the engine and the weather
• Air filter checked or replaced
• Coolant condition and level
• Brake fluid tested for water content, flushed on the two-year interval
• Chain cleaned, adjusted and lubricated; sprockets checked for hooking
• Tire pressures, tread and date codes
• Safety-critical fasteners checked to torque

Bigger jobs

• Valve clearance checks and shim adjustment
• Fork oil and seals, rear shock service
• Steering head and swingarm bearings
• Clutch pack replacement, slipper clutch service
• Full diagnostic scan and fault code reading
